Blog week 1
A new chapter has commenced, marking the end of our summer break and the start of a new journey. This week, we reconnected with friends, professors, and classmates. Moreover, we took the opportunity to review the knowledge retained during our brief break. Importantly, we also delved into new topics, such as "Theoretical Perspectives on Language Learning."
Theories of Language
The theory of language is a central topic in both the philosophy of language and theoretical linguistics. It seeks to answer questions such as "What is language?"; "Why do languages possess their specific properties?"; and "What is the origin of language?".
The four primary theories of language acquisition are the Behavioral Theory, Cognitive Theory, Nativist Theory, and Interactionist Theory.
Basic Linguistic Theory (BLT), a term coined by R. M. W. Dixon, refers to the theoretical framework and fundamental concepts commonly used in the grammatical description of languages and in linguistic typology.
Thank you very much!
